Picked up one of my dream cars last year and still love every inch of it. The original pipes have been replaced with Long Life stainless ones which make so much more of that V8 sound . The whole leather and wood gentleman's club cabin thing makes me smile every time...

i aggree, that Jag looks lovely! i love the new XK's, but theres a certain daintiness to the shape of the old ones that the new car slightly lacks somehow i think. the colour of yours really looks great on it too!
very good choice sir!

Thanks chaps.

Nigel, I see you have a 2.0S Capri! You are a very wise man. I had one of those beasts about 15 years ago, black, with some dodgy black headlamp covers like Stevie Wonder shades. Always preferred the S to the Laser. Followed that up with a 4-speed 2.8i, but somehow I still thought the 2.0 was better!

Lovely car... I much prefer these ones to the new shape... they seem to have lost some of their elegance.

Very nice car!

Hi Leo

They do 3 volumes: standard, louder and hooligan. I didn't want to go too loud as that's not really the character of the car, but they said the hooligan wasn't TVR-like so that's what I went for (not that TVR loud is bad, I'd love a Tuscan, it's just that there's a time and a place for it!).

When I picked the car up they showed me the work they'd done and it all looked pretty good. I like the way they'd curved the two pipes together underneath to touch (to balance the pressures or something) rather than just put in a T-junction between them.

The sound level is just about right. In the car you can just about hear it when cruising so it doesn't annoy, but when you put your foot down you get a good V8 growl. From the outside it sounds awesome in a refined and gentlemanly kind of way.
