Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum , but not website!
Im wanting to buy a car but not sure which one would be best yet.

Im 21 years old and have a budget of £4000 - £5000 (give or take)
Im looking for a car that I can strip out and do up really well, for road use, not track.
Im not that bothered about looks just want one that i can make handle and perform really well.
The only drawback will be insurance because of my age.

Has anyone got any ideas???

Any help would be hugely appriciated

Thank you

BMW E30, try for a 318is, plenty of scope to play with and lots of advice on tuning etc on here and other BMW forums. Trawl your way through PH classified/Autotrader/Fleabay/BMW mags and there are plenty around.

Hi

Build a Westfield thumbup

Or (my personal favorite) get a Nova and drop a 2.0 16v (out of that astra in the post above) in it, you will beat anything away from the lights and it's so much fun!! you will need to sort the suspension on it and strengthen it a bit to make it go round corners though, you'll have a moassive smile on your face all the time though thumbup

I can hear the MX5 guys coming

Integera Type R DC2 is the obvious choice I think, although I'm not overly keen on them.

Without sounding like a chav (which I am definitely not)

Ive always had a thing for the old Fiesta MR2...becoming somewhat of a classic now with prices appreciating for good examples!
