Yes I know some of you don't like it (some people are scared of anything that's a little different)

I chose it coz it had all the things i'm looking for. It's rare / It's quick & it's practical & that's what matters to me.

Smart Brabus forfour : 190bhp / 190lb ft torque

Mods to date : ITG sports air filter / HID headlights / Tinted windows / Decatted & Sports catted exhaust / Vtune remap.

I know it's pretty quick and has a bodykit, but I thinks it's girly, sorry mate! It wouldn't be my choice for 12k! Each to there own though.

Your old man has much better taste - if not just more money.

like I said I expected those type of reactions from a few, in the same way I would react to a Mazda MX5 or BMW Z4.

it's got controversial looks, It's a rapid hot hatch, It'll seat 5 with no issues & still go like the clappers.

10 out of 10 for me.

Tut tut, if you said that about an MX5 you'd get shot down.

Pistonheads loves MX5s!

I like your car though. Same power as a cooper S but more individual and more practical. Don't like the dash much though, looks like those guages were just thrown at it.

Do not post in this section if you're insecure about your buying decision and looking for general acknowledgement on your car choice.

No where near insecure about my purchase, I buy what appeals to me & this did. the only acknowledgement I need is my own.

I have full admiration for anyone who can think outside the box & buy something rare / different than the usual mundane.

Well, I like it . One question for you though - does it have a brake upgrade? Look like a set of big red calipers in the first picture .

I've upgraded the normal Brabus pads for EBC pads , other than that just a good painting of the calipers coz they were looking a little dull.

looks like our cars are cousins
I have a colt czt, not quite as quick as the brabus but just as rare...

Love the look of the brabus, good idea with painting the calipers makes quite a big difference.

Nice car! I know some people don't like them but im afraid i do! I dont like it standard, the Brabus bodykit and their other parts seems to make this ito a very special car. Also as you said, its very rare!

Your old man's car is very nice also

Yeah it did cost me £12k as it was ex demo but brand new they were £17k (a tad pricey)

The standard forfours are a little plain looking but I think the Brabus version looks great with the extra body kit / lower sportier suspension & the excellent Monoblock VI alloy wheels.

There are 215 Brabus forfour's in the UK so at least it'll stay a rare sight on the roads.

How much does it weigh out of interest?

1090kg as standard

Mine = 1020kg (due to a few modifications) was weighed a local weighing station.

If I remember correctly it has a figure of about 168bhp per tonne according to the spec sheet.
