I'm in the market for an M5. Unsure what to go for. A lot of the early cars appear to have had the engines replaced, but the later ones with lower mileage do not. I live in cetral london so will likely get a few parking knocks. I will also only be putting about 4000 miles a year on it, tops. Should I pay the premium and go for a mint low mileage, with widescreen tv/satnav etc, accepting it will get a few knocks or go for one of the older cheaper models without the newer toys, steering wheel etc and save myself a few grand, and still have the driing pleasure. interested to hear readers experience I currently drive a 1998 528I, so inside not much difference?
You'll probably have more luck posting in the M section of the Beemer forum. Remember to post pics here if you get one though.
