Hi,

Just thought I'd share some photos of my new Pilgrim Hawthorn that I bought last week.

Hope you like it, and maybe seeyou at Stoneleigh.

Cheers, Jase

PS Ignore the date on the photos, forgot to set my camera.

Cheers, the engine is from a Triumph Dolomite, so posted some photos on the Dolly owners club and had one person reckon the seats came from a TR7. They do go well with the rest of the car I think.

looks very nicely put together inside and out and i think the Dolomite motor is a good choice for it!

i'd love to know/see more about it!

Managed to track down a previous owner who sold it 3 years ago and he rebuilt the car. Took him 3 years in which he put in a new clutch, brake master cylinder, discs and pads, petrol tank and sender, recon gerbox, new hood, painted the chassis and resprayed it.

He also owned the Dolly which had a knackered body, but decent engine so decided to replace the original Morris Marina engine.

A few people think the Hawthorn looks more like an AC ACE, and not the Cobra, but it's not a replica of either. The Hawthorn was sold as a kit car in the 80's but Pilgrim then launched the Sumo shortly afterwards which was much more popular and so dropped the Hawthorn after a couple of years. They only sold about 100 of them.

Hoping to go to Stoneleigh for the 1st time on the 6th/7th May.
