are you sure your mr2 will kick the 200 in to the weeds ? as it has twin turbos from what i read about it. my mate has 1 it is only single turbo and a few mods to the engine and it goes like hell and as far as mr2s go unless youve got a turbo"d one they arn"t that fast only fast to talk about. But and a big But if you"ve got the cash i know they are well tuneable, but at some cost !

He's just a little bit jealous cause he can't drift it quite as nice. He's a mate of mine and he's hoping to keep up. We'll see...

To mr V8jago - the nissan doesnt have twin turbos - this doesnt exsist on a S14 Nissan engine - tut tut!!!!
My mr2 is turbo'd and in the region of 350 bhp break - easily enough to trounce the 200

Be careful of your car mate I had a 92 mr2 turbo too, anything over about 320bhp on standard internals is gonna be causing problems with reliability, specially as you got the car like this, you don't know the history.
Sounds nice though but I'd keep it below 300bhp if you don’t want it blowing up.
Mine was 280ish bhp ran like a dream.

Anything over 300 on a rev 1 or 2 will be unreliable... It only started life as a 220 bhp. Start getting bigger hp figures and you need to get forged pistons. the fuelling is good for 400 bhp apparently, but I think that would be overworking the system! Guy I knopw with a rev 3 had his dynoed at 307 bhp with only a mongoose exhaust, and a unichip! Not bad considering!

Oooh..ok...wicked... Much nicer rev anyway!! A question... how much (ish) is it to get a clutch fitted?? Gonna get an uprated one from Fensport about 300 quid, but need to know how much it is to fit? Any ideas?
Cheers Andy

A wise choice and mac. I go to a place called Fawkham green services in Kent - bloke there fitted a brand new clutch cash in hand for 30 squids - cant say fairer than that

30 quid? Bloody hell..thats cheap. How long did it take them, as i've heard it can take up to 6 hours! Plus, I'll be needing a new clutch soon, and was wondering what you thought about an uprated clutch? If I get say 290 bhp, would i need an uprated clutch??? not sure what the stock clutch is good for.
cheers
Andy

the stock clutch will take a good amount of abuse but uprated is really the way to go because at 290bhp it will be sooo comfortable and then if you decide to go a bit mental and have 400 bhp you can rely on the fact that your clutch is still more than up to the task

MR2tubby, i must have got my wires crossed with the name !! what sort of power can you get out of one of those things as they are jap i know they are suprising how far you can go. But i have read about a 200sx that has in the reigion of mid 700bhp (that must be quick if you can get the power down) ?
