Autocar, at the time, called this the poor man's Porsche and featured the model on the front cover with that headline

I know a few Porsche owners and it would be nice to show them this front cover as proof, anyone got still got that issue ?

James, thanks for that, it was brand new to my hard standing in 1986

Even when I had 4 cars for a short time I only had 1 rented neighbour's garage

Do ya know what it is ?

confused you've got me there!
looking at it i'm thinking original VW Scirrocco or a Skoda Rapide. its a wild stab in the dark, but could it be either one of those?!

A rare car these days, there's not many left on the road apparently. I guess this one is even rarer as its a 130 and what looks like an early model.

Well done all, it was a Rapide 130 1986 model (possibly 1985 model stood in feild stock piling)

James - this is from before VW took over they and initially lowered build quality
Don't believe all you hear about German build quality I've alsao got an original German built 1981 Ford Capri and it had many build quality issues when brand new (not mine then I had two push bikes)

i like that Rapide, not well up on old skodas, not bad with old VW's mind, but i can imagine that 130 must have been quite a fun little car in its day!
your previously owned cars list makes great reading Nigel! some very interesting stuff in there SEiGHT, MGBGT et all, would love to hear/see some more about your previous cars some time!

Very nice

Now we need a 110 RS (?)

Course the Estelle and Estelle 2 had great success as Rally cars

Automotive pornograpy, sheer lovely filth lick

Of course I'd prefer the power and torque figures swapped with each other for road use, and I might be a bit old for the styling

BUT

I'd force myself if I had the money
