Thanks James, The car is going back on the rollers on the 3rd of march at powerstation in tweksbury, last time basically as a standard 210 works its made 156hp @ the wheels, this time im hoping to be in the region of 190WHP maybe 200WHP if im lucky but from what ive seen i really need to get the head seriously opened up, an a high lift cam fitted.

You are more than welcome to join us on the 3rd if you would like jolly £30 a run, theres more on Miniaddiction about that

Cool - I'd love to join you - even tho mine is only a D. But combination of being at uni and living too far away are going to make it difficult. Thanks for the offer though.

Now for a really stupid question rolleyes .....

Whats the difference between 'normal' hp and wheel hp? Because as you say the works kit is 210bhp - and you said yours made 156 whp, so I'm guessing there is a big difference between the two? So what is it making in 'normal' hp?

Sorry to sound stupid.

WHP - horse power at the actual wheels

BHP - Brake horse power - done on an engine dyno out of the car, can be worked back from WHP on a rolling road but isnt always the most accurate, an dosent take transmission losses in to account.

BHP wise i would say mine should be about 230- 240 bhp

Bhp - pub horse power (big numbers)

WHP - True power whats being delivered to the road

Being a D dosent matter on the 3rd one guy is bringing his tuned d to the RR day. Id say you could do it in 2 hours from liverpool, an with 60mpg an only £30 to run its a must LOL would be nice to meet you too

Very nice mini. We had one for a week and it was a right laugh. I have a vivid memory of speeeding onto a roundabout in the wet and sliding round it

I also have seen the BBR-Gti/Morego MINIs, and they're epic. They had two in the workshop, a mild 225bhp model and a WILD 300bhp (on the dyno) Cooper S! They're also working on stuff for the new, new MINI.

Thanks for clearing that up, not up to speed with all the technical stuff!

On the rolling road day - I dont think I'm going to be able to make it, as I unfortunatley have to leave my car at home while I'm at uni - because I cant afford £800 a year for city centre parking fees!
If there is one in the summer months - I'll be back home so I may well make an effort to attend!

I think I'm going to start making a few posts on miniaddiction, mini2 is annoying me of late. Stuff like loads of stupid american moderators who delete topics for no reason and send you abusive pm's rolleyes

Heard mixed reports about BBR, very good stuff in the early days of there conversions an not so good things recently which is a shame as with the success`s brodie britain had in the days of the cossie were pretty legendary.

All the bits on my car at present are either john cooper works or GT Tuning fitted by Lohen in eccleshall, im pretty happy with it as it is at the moment but im looking into removing the supercharger an turbo charging, but waiting to see how long the engines are lasting.
