Recently bought a Galant 2.5 V6 for business use, there is absolutely no traction ,especially in the wet. Wheelspin like a boy racer , and I am 55 ( I do like to boot it ,but this is crazy)
Is it the tyres - Dunlop sp2000 , or the car ?
Any advice appreciated.

It's the tyres. All the dunlops i've used (sp9 through to sp8000) have all been shockingly poor at getting traction. Going round corners is ok, but trying to get going is a waste of time.

ditto...get some bridgestones or Michelins...softer compound...should give more traction

Even a set of Pirelli P6000 will beat most dunlops.

Thanks chaps, that has cheered me no end, can't wait to wear out the dunlops .Odd thought, in 40 years of motoring I have never used a dunlop tyre!
