Paul,

I've always liked the RS1600i's though don't see many on the road.

What's with the Yamaha carb conversion?

Problems with the stock injection system design?

I miss the days when you didn't need to look at a cars badge to know who made it. Absolute classic.

hiya phil, the stock fuel injection is very restrictive,a standard engine will make 115 bhp at the flywheel mines makes 148.

cheers

Being a FWD, have you managed to stop it wasting some of the 148 spinning the fronts? Most of the "Hot" FWD cars I've seen are pretty wasteful on take off.

148bhp isn't that much for the front wheels to handle. I'm guessing he switch's on the SRF (Sensitive Right Foot)

Rather like that car. Are those the standard rear lights or non-standard? (I'm not very clued up on RS Fords)

thanks for all the positive comments, in answer to the questions, the front indicators and the rear clusters are non standard, i dont have a problem with wheelspin because it dosn't go out in the rain and im nice to the old girl, and i keep the oil in by using the oil cap that isn't in the picture lol.

Very nice... I really like the RS1600i's, a few years back I had a grey one with a turbo technics conversion on, suffered from terrible torque steer and the wife hated it... but I loved it even after the body basically fell apart and I had to scrap it.

I can really see the appeal of the bike throttle bodies as well as I had twin 40's on one of my CVH escorts in the 80's and that released loads of power.

Nice one
