I've just wet myself. Fantastic! Use to own an L plate one myself - love them to bits, and the 18" Rondells are PERFECT for the car - was always on my to do list but never got round to it and really regret not putting them on!

What sort of work (if any) have you had done, and where's the history of the car - i.e. what dealer/specialist?

Again, bravo

I say, it does definitely need lowering; not too much, perhaps 25mm or so (don't go silly) but it will give it that much more tarmac-stage-rally-spec look, and allow the (big arse) wheels to fill the rims alot better.

I really am jealous!

Tony, didn't you have a polaris grey cossie, I think I remember you, I had a Red LT Escort Cossie about 4/5 years ago.

The car was totally standard when I bought it it even has the original clips and so forth in the engine bay eek and yes the car is coming down to earth shortly 20-30mm as it looks like its on stilts at the minute! It is a Lux model with full leather which is unmarked and in absolutely showroom condition, truely incredible Everything is exactly as it left the showroom currently.

I am looking to get a 300hp + engine conversion just to pep it up a bit, however after having a stage 1 chip fitted the car broke down on Boxing Day true cossie ownership LOL!!:

as it turned out it was just the chip causing problems hence once whipped out it was fine, Graham Goode's won't even touch my ECU but I have another couple of options, currently waiting for my existing tuner to return to work to discus further. I have ordered a couple of strut braces, new gear gaiter and clear indicator lenses although I am unsure as to whether I will replace the standard ones or not. I have now decided on AP brakes but they will go on last certainly as it doesn't really need 'em just going on for aesthetic reasons more than anything.

That was me thumbup

Andy - did we go to that rolling road shoot out thing together? I forget where on earth it was now, might have been day before Ford Fair or National Day, something like that?!

I love totally standard cars like that, always great to see. Some pressure on you now to keep it clean thumbup

Good luck with it mate, and great purchase. Oh and welcome to PH, too, it's addictive, I warn you

A guy across the road from me used to have a metallic blue one in the mid nineties. I really wanted that car!

Nice motor mate.
