Hello there

My name's Stephen, I'm the founder of the UK Celica-club, a member of both UK 350Z clubs, and a moderator on sussexcarz.com (which also has a few PH'ers on the admin team).

Additionally, I'm a feature writer for (the imminently folding) J-Tuner and the 'voice of JAE' (the largest UK Jap car show) every summer , so some of you may know me already

I've got a supercharged 350Z which looks like this:

Feel free to ask away about myself/the spec list, but most of all, hello (waves)

Looks Good are they safe the superchargers? I was at motec a few weeks ago and there was talk of rods going through blocks and the engines not being upto charging without new internals?

Love the wheels

Yep, it's a bit of a gamble, as there's been a few UK (and many US) engines going 'pop'. However, I'm running a very safe map and I've detuned it to approx 400bhp (was approx 30bhp higher).

**WOW** you use the words "detuned" and 400BHP ! hells bells !
Should shift quite well. I run a C32 AMG which is a 3.2 supercharged which is circa 350bhp as per Merc.....

400BHP

Fantastic. What boost have you got the blower running at ?

7.5PSI. The detuning was also to give me more mid-range torque, which is typically quite lean compared to turbo'd 350Zs.

Where are they based in the UK?

Had one a few years ago on the supercharged mx but couldn't find a UK tuner apart from the Porsche nob in Cheshire

Ask for Dave Rowe, probably one of the best mappers in the world. He charges £100 an hour through MoTeC for fitting & mapping. He was telling me about doing a modded 996 in germany and the owner got it up to 240mph on the autobahn...

www.motec.com.au/uk.htm

Dealer list, there are hundreds but get Dave to map your car if you can, he does Alister McRae's WRC, LeMans cars etc MoTeC Europes top mapper.

Thanks Steve
I had the Motec on the last modded (Blown) motor & it was the final mapping that was the problem.
We had it mapped 99% but had idle probs with higher boost.

Nice to know for the next proj

I've been told that if the torque exceeds a certain figure (cant remember what) then the rods will exit stage left
