Newbie(ish) - Slightly different daily drive/practice car !
Discussion
Ive been lurking about in the background for ages on this site so thought i may as well post some pics of my current drive....
Its eer different........once labeled by a certain famous motor journalist as the worlds worst car shortly before crashing it into a tree!
Its a 1989 volvo 340
1700cc
Lowered 80mm
Sitting on 13x7 minilites
Stripped out
Bucket seats
Dished rally Wheel
Welded diff ( Cant get LSD'S for em)
Took the car all round europe on the Student Gumball Rally and it is now my daily drive / drift practice car... am investigating putting in a renault 16v engine although to be honest drifts suprisingly well as is!
What u reckon........(im not easily offended!)
Some other local drifty Volvos

To be honest you dont really notice the Welded diff after a while....or shall I say you just get used to it.
The only time you really notice it is when tight manouevreing or parking and the inside wheel skips a bit.
It doesnt step out at the back unexpectantly either.... nice and controllable!

How do chap good to see another fellow DW memeber here
Your ovlov is ace, I'm assuming you've seen there's another addition to the DW Ovlov drift team.
Shame about Bovingdon, as I was really looking forward to seeing some of these in action
edited for mong spelling and to say that in my experience, above 5mph you wouldn't notice the difference between a welded diff, an LSD and an open diff
Although I never drove in the wet with the "MIG Spec" so cant comment about that

Cheers for the positive comments peeps!!
Its come to that time of year where i am starting to think of stickers for Le Mans....
Anyone got any ideas for stickers / themes? will prob go for race numbers and names in windows but apart from that im stumped.
Want as many stickers as possible in inline with Le Mans tradition whilst attempting to keep a classy look to the car (yes i know its a volvo!!)
Let your imaginations run wild!!!
cheers!
