1100 kilo / 2425.1 lbs of italian super car powered by a lovely sounding 3.0 V8 with two turbochargers and intercoolers which produces 478 bhp. This particular model is a 5 speed manual and achieves 0-60 in an amazing 3.5 seconds which is great for a car of 16 years. Came with the number plate - BRU7I5H when purchased. Had a complete interior restoration a few years back due to lack of care by previouse owner (scratched dash and seats).

Reccomended if you find the oppurtunity to buy one.

I bought mine in April 1998 with just one previose owner.

Picture shows my car next to my mates porsche on a trip to France.

On the look out for any used S1 lotus elises that people are selling.

Thanks for looking.

Any comments welcome!!

The clock reads 13,360 miles but i have alot of speculation over if this is the true distance it has done in its 16 years for it looks like it has had alot more use. The pictures of the white leather interior is how it used to be, it has had a new interior since which has red leather seats, it matches the car and looks a whole lot better.

You're still a jammy get, but those seats look really baggy for that mileage. It could be that the car has been driven on track a lot which would mean seat wear is quite heavy.

hehe

PS If you need someone to look after it............

God I need to work harder....!!!

Excellent car built for purpose

I went out in one as a passenger a couple of years ago and I'm not really a Ferrari fan (mainly because I can't afford one)

16 years and only around 13,00 miles are you on resticted mileage or keeping service costs down? I have reason for asking

Car is hardly driven mate. Taken out for a short drive every other sunday, longest drive i went on in this car was down to Le Mans in france with a few mates. It sits in my garage mainly being polished, not driven. It's not that I can't be bothered or that I don't want to, believe me i would love to use it everyday. Just trying to keep the car in as good condition as I can.

Le Mans and back is not a short journey you obviously have confidence in yourself and the car

The reason for my question, the club I'm in does the Sporting Bears Dream Rides at the NEC Classic Motor Show and a few others.

Sporting Bears Dream Ride drivers offer to do 4 passenger rides of about 10 miles on the open road (dedicated quick exit and entrance to NEC site). You get free entrance to the show with parking actually in the HALL. Passengers give a fixed donation, every penny of which goes to UK children’s charities.

Many drivers get hooked and end up doing as many rides as they can.

We've previously had the likes of XJ220s down to my Capri but only once a F40 (the owner of which this year offered track rides in his Enzo instead)

Whether you're interested in this or not have a look at our website anyway

www.sportingbears.org.uk

Sorry but a car like your will create a lot of interest and this is one example

Thanks, Nigel

Will have a look at the site. Cheers for bringing it to my attention.

I will give it some thought, it is the sort of thing I would be interested in doing although I have never done anything with this car similiar to what you are suggesting. I do like the idea of it.

Le Mans was a very long journey, all my mates were going in their porsches and one pagani zonda and I was hardly going to choose to drive there in my ford mondeo over the F40. Will hopefully be going next year if i can get the time off.

That is a lovely car. has a nice 'driven' look about it. I had the chance to buy one 18 months ago and sadly passed it up, (after many nights without sleep thinking about it). The car has been advertised since for almost £50k more. god damn it!!!
A great car and if you ever feel the need to move it on then please let me know. Must have one, and not a garage queen either.
Great motor car.

Not planning on selling the car just yet. Yes, I have noticed the increase of price and demand for this vehicle. I've had a lot of offers on it from people at shopping centers to car salesman knocking on my door. I've refused all.

However im on the look out for an S1 lotus elise. But I'm looking for a limited edition one, I cant remember the exact name right now but I think Lotus only made 50 or so of them. Anyone know what one I mean? I think they come in a silver-blue colour.

Thank you for even thinking about it

I went to Classic Le Mans for the first time this year, I'm not really one for circuit racing but I really enjoyed it

Your mates with the Porsches may have heard of the Bears

We've never had a Zonda, if he's a friend of yours and it's possible please pass this on to him, as you can tell I'm trying to spread the word as far as I can

After 16 years whatever you do hold on to the F40 a car like that can never be made again

Enjoy it as much as you can

All the best, Nigel

Nigel - would you take someone as run of the mill as a 2000 911? I'd love to help.

Yes, I am very keen on raising for charity, that's a lovely porsche you currently own mate. Used to have one similar to it. One of my favourites.

Nigel - I have emailed you through the site. I am no Senna, but I know how to give someone that "wide eyed passenger..." look.

Do please let me know what I need to do to make this happen.

Best

Cheers nigel, will give it my upmost consideration. Will also pass the information along to my pagani owning friend and see what he thinks. Perhaps I could get a few porsches (i know someone with a GT3-RS - blue alloys - lovely!) down there as well. Anyway will join up on the site and consider all the possibilities. Thanks for letting me know.

No problem. These people I know love their cars too much to be silly with them. They are all sensible and know where the line between fun and stupidity is.
