Hey all,

I have been reading PistonHeads for ages now, always been too scared to post, so here we go

Its a 1981 (and a half) Nissan 280ZX Turbo, a 2.8L straight six with a wee turbo charger on there, 0-60MPH is about 6.9 seconds stock, not bad for an oldie from 1981. Its an auto though, well, it is the US after all (moved over here a year a go and still can't bring myself to buy an F150 truck with gun rack). Gold and Black, the best colour combo in the world! First car I have ever owned where everyone stop and want to know more! Keeps up with my MK5 VW GTI, plus since the speedo only goes up to 85MPH before the needle hits the pin you have no idea how quickly you are going. Tin worm is starting to worry me though.....

Anybody else have any oddball 80's cars?

Thanks Steve. And I totally agree with you Hairydave, I never used to like anything Japan produced as a sports car, however, for some weird reason, I have now just fallen in love with the stuff they have. I am even on the look out for a Starion, they are getting so rare. Thats probably the whole reason why I love there stuff, most of it has rusted away by now, so they are set to become rare classics

Ah, the ultimate has to be the Nissan Cherry Turbo, I have been in one and no other car will give you such a thrill! Bog standard Cherry with a faster motor, takes ages to slow down, poor handling, certainly gets the old heart racing
