My new car - MINI

Hi all!

Posted this is the mini forum, but nothing seems to be happening there.

Have just bought a 2006(06) Mini One D. My younger bro got one a few weeks ago and it turned me! Coming from a Citroen C2, the Mini is better in every way! Paid 13.5k for it (not taking the trade in for the C2 into account) think it was a fair price looking at Autotrader and Mini Cherished prices.

It has a few extras:

17" R99 polished double-spoke alloys,
Harmon Kardon sound system - very very impressed by this!
Half leather seats
Alarm (presume this is different to central locking?!)
Zip decal on the roof
Chili pack

Roll on two weeks to delivery! Anything I should look out for?

P.S does anyone know what power the Harmon Kardon system is? (watts?)

Nice car, your a very lucky student!! My son who's in his last year at uni has been building up his no claims over the last few years with a (classic) Mini. Now he's 21 he has bought a 306 GTi-6 to use for trackdays as well as on the road.

Perhaps you can work up to a Cooper S when your 21

Thanks! Well I thought I might aswell buy the best spec'd Mini One D I could find, as at 19 insurance on the other cars I considerd was abit pricey (C2 VTS, Lupo GTI etc)
Would love a Cooper S though, but I owe my parents quite alot for this one, maybe someday!
