I really want to learn to drift, and had a Nissan 200SX S13 to do so with, and a range rover to tow it.

unfortunatley, I had to sell it, the range rover, and all my spares to pay the vets to try and save my dogs sight. The dog is on the mend, so I can now start thinking about learning to drift again

I was looking at E30 BMW's, as they are cheap, and reliable etc, and good at the drifty stuff. But the ones I would have wanted were way out of budget, so I started looking at E34 5 series. And this came up for sale locally, as I was looking, so thought sod it, I'll have it.

Its a 1991, 525i SE manual with rare LSD. Fairly boring spec, E/W, E/W, E/SR etc, but it was the price and LSD that attracted me (certianly not the colour, but beggars cant be choosers)

Its a 24v 2.5 Straight six, sounds pretty funky above 4.5k even as stock, so a filter and cat removal should have it sounding even better cool

There are a few problems, like the steering wheel is way off center and wooly as hell, and the reverse lights have no power going to them (bulbs & fuse are ok), but I can live with that for the time being.

It was also leaking clutch fluid from the slave cylinder, but GSF came up trumps with £34 and a 20min job soon had that fixed

But pics speak 1000 words, so here they are.

It even says my name on the dash when you put the key in (auto dash board, stands for "Economy" "Drive" btw rolleyes )

And the reason I had to sell everything, my £5,500, one eyed mongrel

Long story, but the moral of it is, if you have a dog, get it insured, NOW

And I really like this pic, as its probably the "arty ist" pic I've ever taken

Plans:
1) Lose the 15's with balloon tyres (got some cheapy 17's off fleabay, 8.5J ET13.5) Current wheels will become my drify ones.

2) Lower it to try and reduce the tank slapper effect when exited a drift/slide. The weight transfer can be quite violent.

3) Cold Air feed Filter and free flowing exhaust.

4) Possibly up rate the rattley speakers. rears are ace, but fronts have a crackel to them. If I dont uprate them I'll just bin them.

Views, comments, suggestions welcome

These are the wheels I won, I've now got them fitted with Toyos on the fron and BFG's on the rear, 235/45 17 all round.

I'll take pics in the daylight of them fitted, but they sit perfectly

I registered a while ago, but never got round to fully checking it out rolleyes

But most of the guys are regulars on driftworks.com anyway, so the knowledge of bodging is widespread

And I had to do all I could to save to pooch, as I've had years of absolute devotion and loyalty
