This looks like a complete hoot to drive!
What sort of power does it produce?

I think 260 is plenty in car that size!!
I'm sure you must scare lots of big machinery with the acceleration of that thing...it still looks like an innocent MX5!

I like the whole sleeper thing i've not yet driven it with the turbo kit fitted, its all bolted on and ready to go. I'm just waiting for the mid section of exhaust and back box to come from the fabricators and then its booked in with mx5mad and Dave Walker in mid January for ECU fitment and mapping. On the stock ecu I can't use any boost at all so the wastegates set permently open untill ECU/mapping. Looking forward to it

Accelerations what its all about, top end will be gear limited to 130mph.

well, there was a bit of a change of plans in the ECU department due to my booking being ignored. So I got a LINK G3 instead.

It made 186bhp at the Wheels at RaceShacks PowerDyne Mustang dyno when running 10psi of boost, they won't give a flywheel figure as they are just estimates. If I did as some dynos do and give a % correction factor, rear drive losses tend to be claimed at about 17% so would make it 217bhp@flywheel.

We were limited by Det so couldn't turn the boost up anymore, however we think we know the cause and can rectify it, up the boost to 13psi, should be over 200bhp at the wheels then and nearer the original planned 260@the fly .

cheers it is quite rapid, taken delivery of the "cure" (a nice big bore fuel rail from FastForwardSuperchargers) so just got to get myself organised for a re-map and it'll be done

Running Tesco 99 Ron, tightened the actuator so it boost just creeps from 10 psi to touching 11psi at redline. Still not fitted the big fuel rail. Took it to a dyno day at Surrey Rolling Road and it didn't do to badly being the most powerfull car of the day with a healty 210bhp@wheels and 249.6bhp@fly. Question now, is the shortblock upto the task of anymore power?
