Vw Golf Gti - fully squirted!

My daily driver is this rather gorgeous Mk2 Golf. When I bought the car it had been fully chav'd up, lowered with cheap springs, 17"wheels (rubbing on the arches) limo black windows, 24 air fresheners, strut brace etc. However I was able to see through all this and underneath was a very solid car. The intention has always been to install a 1.8t 20valve engine (used in much of the VAG range) which is a simple intall and capable of huge power.
As with all things in life, so far this hasn't happened. What has happened includes a megasquirt conversion (fuel and spark), bigger brakes (late 16v gti), koni adjustable suspension, G60 steel wheels (only 27 quid each - from VW!) and a spot of de-chavving. Megasquirt has been faultless, I cannot sing its praises loud enough - every car should have one!
