My 190e cosworth which was my pride and joy up until last week, now have a 99' 306 gti-6 in white, which by the way if it would work for a week without something going wrong would be the finest car I have owned!
The red rst was mine as well, I swapped it for the Cos then traded it for the gti-6 within a week...horrible car!

Difficult to drive in slow traffic & around town (under 30), but engine is quite peaky power coming in around about 4700 up to 6200, after that it gets a bit wheasy but will hit the red line every time...red lines at 7200
I had 150 out of it (clock speed) down hill and was trying hard! So probably doing 140ish not bad for 20 years old and 200k on the clock IMHO.
Great car, bit slow off the mark but 60 comes up in under 8 seconds, stops acelerating about 130 where it slows down & seems to hit a brick wall on the flat, but you can play with it on the limit without feeling like its going to throw you off the black stuff. Wasnt keen on the steering, I had everything checked and it was still poo but you get used to (massive hopper bus steering wheel dont help!) inputting massive steering wheel movements.
Good car but would plump for the 2.5-16 next time in astral silver, they got more low down torque and are much nicer to drive round town.
Oh, and it makes a fantastic sound when your giving it some-hard to drive slow, all engine note- not exhaust note

If I may... Even reports at the time say that the 2.3/2.5 don't feel as quick as they are, and I would concur. Especially if you're familiar with any modern turbo petrol/turbo diesel cars and like to get a kick in the back at 2-3,000 rpm. There is still fair pull low down (it's not like waiting for a turbo to kick in), and it's fine around town, but you need to use all the revs if you want to make progress on the open road.
