Hi guys

Not really a newbie on here as have been browsing on and off for about 4 years and eventually signed up earlier this year. Thought you guys might want to have a look at my main toy which is a Lotus Carlton.

Its certainly my baby and i've spent the last 3 years restoring the car to the condition it is now and am really happy as its a car i've always wanted since they were released.

For those who went to the British Sports Cars Goodwood Breakfast Club back in the summer you may have seen the car in the flesh. I've also just completed a dedicated website showing all the pictures of the work that I did on the car which may be of interest to you, so by all means go and have a browse. Site can be found at www.LC890G.co.uk / Lotus Carlton

Regards
David wavey

sweet car, I always promised myself I'd only replace the modded cossie I had with a lotus carlton, had the cossie 10years and then replaced it with a company hack (albeit and E36 M3 lol) so I never really kept my promise.

I did actually look at these to run as a company car but I came to the conclusion it would have cost a fortune to do 25k per year in one.

Lovely looking motor!

I had the GSi 24v and always wanted the Lotus.
Could be a one to consider if I sell my cerb, but i'm a bit hooked on TVR's now.

Top car..geting rare now..Thers a black one where my lock up is in central Scotland...the tyres/wheels are wider than they appear and the engine is phenomanal..
My mate is daft on them and swears he`s getting one at some point...
Is there a mod for the gearbox....something to do with a bolt falling out and causing havoc...? Not quite sure if this problem applies to this model....?

I'm sure I have seen a video on the web somewhere where one of this outruns a police car.
