I just got it today and I thought I'd share. The only bad thing about it is the fuel consumption (I'm with you Mr C32 AMG :P)

I love it! It's very red!

The looks are a bit plain but I think the colour and rarity factor make up for that somewhat. Even with the stock exhaust she sounds looooverly.

have to agree, i think a car wich has subtle mods and looks as stock as possible get the most attention etc, hate i when people try and make thing somthing there not

thats a great looking Monaro you have there! i've always liked the standard car, it may not have as much visual muscle as the VXR but it has it where it counts the most!
love the colour too, makes a nice change from quicksilver and phantom black! thumbup

I think it's quite a well proportioned and handsome car but the newer model looks a little more aggressive.

The only modification currently is the brakes from a VXR which I think should be standard anyway. They work well (although APs are needed for track antics really) and the calipers match the bodywork

Great choice.
Rear wheel drive, loads of horses, not overly sophisticated, fantastic fun.

Great to see someone that doesn't go for the default Audi/BMW/Merc - this is FAR more interesting...

Thanks

I was considering a 330Ci or Focus ST but like you say they are both so common and even if the Monaro lacks the finesse of those two I reckon it's way more FUN! I'm surprised by the refinement actually, the ride is really good and the gear shift is much slicker than I expected.

Nice one chap.

I'm holding out for a VXR, hopefully sometime next summer if all goes to plan.

It's funny that someone further up said these are rare over there. They are as common as Ford Fiesta's over here in Aus. I know thats cause they were made here, I'd just never thought of them as a rare car. Fast and loud... yes, but rare NO. Anyway, congrats on the new aquisition.
