Caterham R300 madness..
Discussion
Yep, got an Audi diesel as the daily barge. The Caterham is purely a driving instrument to get a good hit of adrenaline (and everything else the car in front cares to drive thru). First time with an aeroscreen and enjoying the sensory overload you get driving it. raindrops hurt as well

Hee hee, rain drops are like being hit with a paintball gun aren't they! I have very fond memories of driving my Superlights with the aeroscreen, particularly hitting the rev imiter in 6th (on a private test track obviously) and the helmet was being rippped from my head by the wind!

Not 'alf!
Having said that, Jeremy C's pre-400 SLR has a more upright aeroscreen than the one pictured and which we both have experince of - certainly, hitting 125 up the Hangar Straight in his - I did not feel near to certain decapitation.
Iffy design flaw ito the angle itself?
Hello mate,
See you have decided to chop the other one in for a higher spec! Good man - you know you will end up upgrading this one anyway
Glad you are having fun with it.
Hope to see you at the L7 meet this Thursday in it!
Cheers
Dave
(I was the one with the red seven (with flares!))

To answer your question benzo...no it doesn't. The rain just hits your face and hurts like hell, you have to wear a crash helmet. A number of people wear crash helmets regardless of weather anyway to offer some protection from bugs and flying stones

thanks snapper! I went out in an aero screened ultralight about ten years ago. I asked the caterham driver if flying wasps and rain where an issue. He said no, I believed him.
My own seven with a windscreen has been great in the rain. I've often looked at the aero screens and wondered
Thanks for the info
