V6 4Motion - Front Discs Warping
Discussion
Having owned the above top car for a year, I have now had to replace the front disks 4 times.
I do below average mileage, and drive very averagedley - my last Golf Mark III did 55000 miles on one set of discs with the same driver!
Both VW and independents have failed to explain what the cause could be.
Any feedback, especially from other V6 4Motion drivers much appreciated.
Cheers

My suspicion would be poor compatibility of pad/disc material and a build up of cack feeling like warped discs when they are not.
Unless, of course, you are a complete psycopath!

i've had my car since november last year, when it had new discs and pads fitted. they just seem to be getting better and better. i did drive for nearly 500 miles braking as gently as I could, as i've always found 'bedding in' to work, although I know some people don't believe this actually prolongs their life. i have standard VW discs and pads.
