Here are a couple of pics of my Q4. Not well known about in the UK, not surprising really as Alfa UK only imported 16 of them. Standard 155 from the outside but the engine / drivetrain is Delta Integrale , so its a 2.0L 16v Turbo with 4wd.

Thanks for that, no the wheels aren't standard, they are Compomotive MO's Flat faced in satin black so they look very similar to the Black Speedlines that were OEM. The car sits on standard springs/shocks so it does look pretty high.
If you are interested in Q4's you might want to take a look at my website www.berlinasportivo.com as there is a Q4 owners register on there with owners from all over the world.

That looks awesome (though would look even better slightly lowered)

I had no idea that it was basically an integrale underneath - whats the handling like in comparison?

In my opinion Alfa made a mistake when they produced the Q4, it was never as hardcore as the Integrale, the engine was mapped differently so made only 190bhp as standard, and the handling was always on the safe side. They combined relatively soft springs with very firm dampers which means you get the worst of both worlds, harsh ride with lots of body roll. I'm trying to source new springs and dampers for mine at the moment which should hopefully sort things out.
However once you get used to the handling you can throw it around quite abit. On the site i mentioned above I've got videos of mine at the LMC trackday at Goodwood, a Danish one at the Ring, and others doing the 1/4 mile.

I haven't seen a Q4 for years! I've always had a soft spot for the Q4, a real street sleeper if ever there was one. If I remember rightly the production cars had the 16" Speedline 'pepperpot' alloys?

Just off to find a pic (the press cars were red me thinks).........ahhh memories!

Didn't know they did a SW version?

Sbarro did a concept SW, there is one at the Sbarro museum here in France. Pics of it here www.berlinasportivo.com/features/sbarro/sbarro.php

And the early Series 1 & 2 cars came with the pepperpot fake split rims, the series 3 cars (wide bodied) tended to come with the sportspack spoiler and 5 spokes.

Very interesting car, mate of mine had a 155 V6 which I always liked, but this looks mean.

Another thing I 've learnt today then, I didn't know that the Q4 came in the widebodied version.

Interesting. Were there any mechanical differences that you're aware of betweem the S1, 2 & 3 cars?

Thanks

Series 1's were the first 2500 built in 1992 & 1993 they came with an intercooler waterspray system.
Series 2's were built in 1994 and were pretty much a stopgap until the wide bodied cars came out in 1995. They didn't have the waterspray, and they also had different headrests and doorbins. Also only the front windows are electric, series 1 cars have electric front and rear. Different ECU map to the series 1's but still 190bhp
Series 3's are the widebodied cars so different suspension components for the wider track. Most widebodied cars have the sportspack spoilers and speedline 5 spokes. They also have the standard 16v interior (velour instead of lovely half vinyl- really!!) The front seats are also manual instead of electrically opperated ones. Regular dampers instead of the electronically controlled ones of the series 1&2 cars.
Yet another different ECU map this time making 186bhp

All the major mechanics of the cars are the same though, engine / drivetrain / brakes.

Alfa UK brought in 14 series 1 cars, 2 series 2 cars and no series 3. Although there are some personal imports now.

Because they are only LHD, a certain Mr J Clarkson drove one backwards through a Mc D's drivethrough in a topgear test. Incidently if anyone has a copy of that video i'd love to see it.
