Certainly one of the best Beemers ever built, as regards handling, quality, and speed.

I thought german cars were supposed to be reliable, so how come you need two AA trucks?

It's Diamond Schwarz.

I know this reply is somewhat late but better late than never! Cheers for the replies :-)

Some new pics- mate of mine is thinking of starting a detailing business and thus undertook my recently (and shamefully) slightly neglected 1986 M3 as a Saturday challenge.

Obviously I look after the car but since buying a new car it hasn't really been getting the use it previously did so was somewhat grubby- the usual stuff when a car stands for a while, bird poop, spiders webs and assorted cack!

Here it is, taped up ready for machine polishing:

Mid-wash (well, I say mid- this was about an hour in and we spent about 9 on it!)

After

End results were fantastic- she is 21 years and 180,000 miles old but I think she scrubs up pretty well. I will definately endevour to keep it clean and drive it regularly from now on!! smile

Great car, very nice. I notice yours doesn't have the side repeaters either.

Stunning car you have there- I did mean to reply to that topic when I originally saw it.

Mine does need a bit of ££ thrown it's way if I wanted to get it back to showroom condition- usual stuff, stonechips, a couple of small spots of bubbling. But until I have the spare cash it's still very very presentable for such an old gal!
