Yeah, that is a beautiful car in a gorgeous colour. Makes many modern cars look rather bland.

Gazboy,
Many thanks for your kind words. I have been posting on the vette forum for a couple of years now, but the car was only finished last September and its taken me until now to post some pics.

Thanks again

Just a wee update on the vette.
Going up to the final round of the British Hillclimb Champs at Doune in Stirlingshire in September, I got a little excited leaving a service station and managed to do this.

These are big block halfshafts, I dont know whether it was because I went over a smooth metal manhole cover which caused the wheel to rapidly 'unwind' or not but it also bent the bottom arm bracket.

It has taken this long to get replacements from the States, these are much heavier walled so I shouldn't be breaking these again, but where will it strain the drivetrain next I wonder?

I have also bought these front upper wishbones along with racing coil over shocks for the front suspension.

The wishbones are alloy rather than the stock pressed steel items. These aloy ones have a different pick up point to minimise bump steer and have a much bigger adjustment to increase castor. You need to increase castor with the larger diameter wheels to get the steering to self centre. The new shocks are adjustable for bump & rebound and are also made of alloy, with the smaller springs, these items will reduce the unsprung weight significantly.
