How reliable is the car? what problems have you encountered with it if any?

Do you find the clutch heavy or light?

Is the ride as firm as it's made out to be?

How realistic are the 0-60 times of 7.7 seconds, have you come anywhere near it?

Have you driven the Cupra R, if so is there a huge difference in the way the car drives and performs?

I know there's a lot of questions but i'd be grateful if you could answer some of them.
Thanks

How reliable is the car? what problems have you encountered with it if any? had it just over one year. Two trips back to dealer, one for electric mirror switch which had broken, another for an window winder motor which had burnt out. Apart from that no niggles / broken bits

Do you find the clutch heavy or light? I find it really light.

Is the ride as firm as it's made out to be? Depends. It can crash over rough surfaces, but overall I'd say it's not that bad. Doesn't roll too much in the corners, but as you'd expect it does understeer a bit.

How realistic are the 0-60 times of 7.7 seconds, have you come anywhere near it? Not sure. I haven't timed myself or wanted to torture the car enough to see if it's 7.7 or not. I know it's faster than my old Golf VR6 and certainly seems to have a good old dose of poke. Not much really blows you away. The gear change it not that condusive to really fast getaways, there's quite a long pull from 1st to 2nd. The Leon really excells when you've got rolling into second and then simply keep the ol' right foot planted until it's time to change to 5th. Not much stays with you.

Have you driven the Cupra R, if so is there a huge difference in the way the car drives and performs?
I've not driven the Cupra R. You should ask Mungo on this one as he may have done a back to back comparison before going for the R. I would expect the 30BHP to make some difference, but I suspect more difference will come through the chassis tweaks.

I know there's a lot of questions but i'd be grateful if you could answer some of them.
Thanks

No worries, if you want to know anything else, just mail me and I'll see what I can tell you.

Overall I'm really happy with the Leon as it has fulfilled all our needs, quick, decent MPG, quite fun to drive (but a bit uninvolving), gets all our gear in, discreet, comfy for long journeys, etc.
