Just wanted to say hello. I've been a reader for quite a while now. Thought is was time so sign up. If I'm not making any sense (as in saying horribly wrong stuff) just ignore it or blame on me being dutch!
Anyway, this is my car.

In my profile I have described it as a starters car. It is exactly this for me, I'm getting tired of it now. I want/need more powerrrrrr (especially after my last weekend job, private chaffeur )
I have tastefully modified it, at least IMO (feel free to call me a barryboy or chav ) After these minor mods a got bitten by the sensable bug and thought that I wasn't going to get anymore power out of the tiny 1.2 16v thingie. So I decided not to modify it any further. Instead I decided to graduate and start saving for more POWERRRRRR (oops, think I'm addicted or something)

O Yeah, I HATE GATSOS (And I'm terribly sorry but I think the inventor was Dutch, my apologies on behalf of the entire nation)

@ bodo

I may work in advertising, but that doesn't mean I'm one of the tw@ts that drive around in a bleeding bill board!

@ LA

I'm aiming for a porsche in the end (like a whole lot of us) Next thing might be a scooby (cheepish thrills), an older m3 or maybe the last MR2 or a quattro TT (might have to change jobs and start to work as a hairdresser though , probably not one of my best ideas). According to EVO magazine the MR2 is a cracking drive.

Both the current one, its predecessor, (especially if with turbo) and the original one, a bargain car I drove for some time in the USA, enjoying its Captain Kirk - Enterprise dash of seventies vogue.

I do like the predecessor, but try finding a decent one with a turbo in the Netherlands (no not Holland, that's just a part of the Netherlands ) Most of them have sky high mileage or they've been "subtly" modified. Next to that, I want to trade up, not just in terms of power but in age, mileage, etc.

You'd probably have to import the MR2 turbo from the States wouldn't you? Unless you don't mind RHD? (Not sure if they sold them on the continent- they certainly didn't sell them here)
Some of the subtle mods are a bonus btw.

Probably would have to import, there are some already imported making it a bit easier. RHD is an option, but if I want to import a RHD car, why not go for something more spectacular (like an RX-7, NSX or a Skyline)? Don't think an old MR2 is worth all the hassle, even if it is a rare turbo.

Thnx for the comment regarding the mods!
