Mrtony I think every one here likes TVRs, not Hondas I have to admit I would love to have a NSX but for a lot less money I could get a nice Griffith, fore or five litre model. They are faster and look incredible and so dose the NSX which I love to but this is only my opinion and it's your choice, good luck Edited by campbell on Monday 20th August 14:39

NSX, handles well, fairly quick but a bit clinical, if that makes sense.

Yes the car is vary safe to drive on the edge an proberly 90% of drivers can drive it quickly but the TVR is in the 10% braket of drivers how leave there brains at home to reduce the risk of hearing damage NICE I can't what until I can afford one an realy griff 400 I think and some shares in my locat tyre garage

If you are considering a Honda NSX, wait a while as a new version is coming out in 2002. If you're buying 2nd hand prices will be lower next year. Or if you are buying new the new one will most probably be better. Edited by FourWheelDrift on Tuesday 21st August 13:12

Just to bring this thread to a conclusion, drove an NSX at the weekend. Very difficult to fault the car, in gear accelleration with the VTEC in above 5000rpm is fierce. Inside the cabin is mundane but practical, the overall impression is very much honda. The mid engine layout does force a compromise on space for the boot (oh darn...), but apart from that there isn't really a downside. Overall, nice car, great stability, good power and a fantastic howl as the VTEC kicks in. Sounds just like it does in GT3. Got more cars to drive before I make a decision, but this is definately going to be a front runner. (but not in red!)

The NSX is an excellent car (I drove one while I was working for Honda). It is an extremely reliable car, it is very eay to drive (not sure if this is good), fanastic engine, but very quiet, very cheap interior. Beware of the running costs, body panels are paricularly expensive. Actually, I'd like to know what people think about Vipers.... Edited by guydw on Tuesday 4th September 17:45

<<Actually, I'd like to know what people think about Vipers....>> Prety dangerous thing, they have a habit of sleeping on the top of bushes here in Cyprus and if you are bitten, you'll need serum within 2 hours. But I think think they're kind of cute - in a reptilien way.

PS I am a little out of touch with what is happening in the Uk motoring scene; have they launched the Morris Ital yet?

Morris Ital? Nope, not launched 'til next spring. I saw some spy shots in Auto Express the other week; looks great! Should be technologically bang up to date, too...

Yeah!!! i saw that to. it looked amazing,
didn't give any info on what's under the bonnet though. I reckon it could be as much as 1.1 litre, now that'll be fast as fcuk.

Morris Ital? Have I hit a timewarp here or something? Wasn't this a very, very horrid 1970's BL monstrosity, aka Marina?

I think I've missed the joke!
