Driving- airfield/ circuit and petrohead get together

Anyone know to or like the idea of finding a suitable airfield / circuit within about 25 miles of Birmingham, Where you can just take your car (TVR Griff) for a quick thrash anytime and have a chat with like minded (people) petroheads?

I'd be up for that. Don't know of any venues, though.

Langar Airfield near Nottingham has been mentioned, but I don't know what you'd need to do to gain legal access.
