Well, the little box is going! Have started to advertise (including on here) and hope to get something a bit quicker soon.

Any thoughts on a decent (and decently quick) car I can get for £3k? Am currently leaning towards a 3-Series, probably an E30, after being thoroughly underwhelmed by a Nissan 200SX at the weekend.

Any suggestions (or offers!) greatly appreciated.

One of the previoud-chassis SAAB 900 turbo's. Not sure how they compare in age to an BMW E-30 chassis though. These SAABS are considered very reliable, with decent fun.
