I was selling VW's when they launched this little bute.
I remember being the first in the dealership to sell one. We had a red one in stock and I had a guy poised to buy.
I remember the guy telling me all along that he wanted a red one and the deal was all but done, bar the negotiating. I went to see the sales manager to finalise the deal for the customer but I craftily told Sales Manager that he wanted a white one.
My boss told me that if I could sell the red one from stock, he'd pay me an extra £100.
"I'll try my best, boss" I said.
I returned to the punter and we agreed the deal on the red one (which he wanted anyway) and my commission was won.
