Hi, well I’m the new only of a 3200Gt. I’m slowly working my way through a host of problems and also setting a base line in terms of the car. Ie, oil service, new spark plugs, coil packs etc. cam belts done, throttle body done, both prior to my ownership. What I could do with if possible is a work shop manual?
Just fitted new front discs and pads and replaced the brake cooling ducting. I’ve also replaced the boot and petrol flap switch in the glove box, plus a couple of fuses. Both items now work as they should.
Anyway, that’s enough for now, I’ve got new buttons to fit in my key fobs.
Thanks.

Welcome aboard. DIYing a Maserati deserves an award for bravery!

I'm sure we'd love to see some photos as they are such good looking cars.

Such a pretty car, coupled with a nice engine. It was on my brave pill list for a long time but never took the plunge. Bravo, look forward to photos and seeing how hard they are to work on. Bon chance ami!

There seem a myriad of ways, I used an online jpeg compressor to reduce file size and uploaded as there's a strict limit on mb, others seem to link to 3rd party hosting

Its because you are new, you have to be registered two weeks or something to post pictures something to do with spam.

A few years ago my best mate replaced his (unbelievably) reliable Alfa GTV with a 3200GT. It was constantly breaking, almost always at the specialist ready for open wallet surgery.

However, when it was working, the noise of the turbos fluttering, utterly biblical midrange performance, the glorious interior and sublime exterior. All the other stuff kinda of got forgotten until it went all Kato and tried to kill you. Then we laughed, nervously.

Fantastic car.

Try on the SportsMaserati forum in their 3200, 4200, Gransport forum.
Lots of owners on there who will be happy to help, as well.

Thanks guys, still haven’t got the option to upload photos but I’m assuming that will come in the following days. Not achieved much this week, although I’ve ordered 2 new rear exhaust back boxes as the others are blowing, one worse than the other, surprisingly the remainder of the exhaust is stainless, can’t understand why the back boxes arnt. I also found a coolant leak at the back of the engine, it’s where 3 pipes go into a tee piece. Found it with a pressure test, still think I’m loosing a bit somewhere, hopefully not the heater matrix, that would be a real shifter to sort. Air bag light on which I can’t read at the moment, although I’ve ordered a new deactivation switch as forums suggest this is prone to failing. Intend to swap out and then get independent with sd2 to have a look see. Also got a set of genuine 18 inch rims as it’s currently on 19 inch and the ride is bone shacking to say the least. Also trying out some anti sticky button product from china which at the moment appears to actually work. Will keep you posted.
