Not sure how I got so far into a house renovation with just Volvo c30 but I have. Sadly few things wrong with the c30 and the boot is starting to drive me mad with the hard parcel shelf that was a gift from the Mrs so it's for to go. Was tempted with something nice as I sold the e89 Z4 which I've not really missed but nothing appeals and I bought a boat last year which is my nice car.

Did look at the partner/Berlingo alternatives but the doblo seemed a bit bigger. Was tempted with the maxi Van but insurance is more, tax is more and I can't take it to the tip so settled on a standard doblo.

Been looking for ages but hard to find a 2.0d but eventually this turned up. Bodywork needs
work but full service history with plenty of jobs done. Had a clutch and dmf a few years back at a cost of £1500 yikes. Wouldn't start on the day of collection but was down to battery drain from the faulty Bluetooth system. The seller knocked more off for this so can't complain.

Seller was a lovely chap and posted on half a pot of touch up paint at his cost a a week after purchase.

First job was fix the window switches. Lift them up and they fall out. Opened the rear accidentally with the dog in the back and couldn't put it down. Did panic a bit but managed to reach the rear switch..

£11.99 from Amazon and 10mins of my time and all sorted. Love a bargain fix.

Second job was to swap the key fob as it wouldn't stay shut. £6.99 from amazon and we have a nice new fob. I also couldn't remember which buttons did what so handy to have the symbols back.

Also been earning her keep. Cut this tree down last year and in it went plus a few other bits.

That looks ideal as a van disguised as a car.

A mate of mine has a Citroen Berlingo van, but can't take it to the tip. Problem solved a few years ago when he got a cheap VW Sharan that holds at least twice as much!

That looks good for a car to use during a house renovation.

Mind you a few years ago, while renovating a house, I did surprise myself a number of times at how much could be fitted in a Fiat Coupe!

Probably going to buy another house needing work so might spend a bit of time looking for aDoblo.

Can I ask how much this one was/mileage, etc?

Mrs. Rooster had one for a few years a while back. Brilliant for young grandkids - sliding door = no more grief in car parks trying to fit wriggling toddlers into the back. No time to fold the pushchair? No need - just shove it in the back! Great for tip runs/car boot sales also.

Hers was the 1.4 petrol, woefully underpowered and a genuine 70 on the m'way was 5800rpm. Didn't do long journeys very often!

I sold it and bought an MX-5, she was in a huff for weeks...

Tbh I've left it a bit late on this renovation but better late than never. Paid £1900 for it which seems decent for the 2ltr elganza comparing to autotrader. Bodywork needs a little tlc but been well serviced. 110k on this one.

The sliding doors are great for throwing shopping into the rear footwells. Ouch on the revs.

So the car needed a good interior clean. I didnt notice to much when I bought it as the front is in good condition but the boot housed their dog. I asked a few local car wash places and the wanted between £90 and £100 for a full went clean inside and out. I can't be paying that when I can do it myself so bought a Vax spot cleaner. The animal one is currently £130 on offer but found a site selling basically new returns for £75 so a few quid saved.

The animal brush I wouldn't bother with tbh I just went back to the drill brush.

Didn't realise how bad until I cleaned a seat and the boot carpet

I've got to live with this next few days as was only a test before work today.
