Picking this up today.

I've had the C43 on my radar for quite some time, among a few other cars as a potential daily driver saloon car and i've been watching this one at my local Mercedes dealership.

They'd quite a price drop on it - presumably it had reached their time threshold on their books - and i ended up getting the car for £4,500 off their initial asking price.

It made the car the cheapest Approved Used one in the UK and almost the cheapest one overall on AT

Really pleased with the spec - high spec to start with but it also has the Premium pack so Digital Instrument Cluster, LED headlights, Pan Roof, auto closing bootlid, etc.

Being an Approved Used AMG it gets a 2 year Approved AMG Used warranty as opposed to 1 year on a non AMG car.

Had a bit of money spent on it in prep too - new front discs and pads, full service, and also has a full MB service history.

Engine is a 3.0 litre twin turbo v6 pushing out 360BHP.

Nice, I had an estate for a bit with full leather. The roof is necessary as it's a bit tomb like in there, as is the MB way these days. Nothing went wrong with mine, was just a bit bland. Be interesting to see how long you keep it.

Very nice and I like how it looks the same as a AMG line 220d, I find the mid range model is usually the best looking without being over the top, for instance I much prefer Audi S models to RS models

I think these c classes have dated well, apart from maybe the small screen, can’t believe they came out 11 years ago!

Panoramic roof is always a essential and nice to see Mercedes ones go all the way back instead of being just a larger sunroof

Looks really nice, they've been on my radar too so will be checking back to see how you like it. Good luck and enjoy!

Very nice, I have a white one myself. Had since 2019. The good news is they are very reliable and capable machines. It's only ever been back to the dealership for a faulty light on the door handle outside of normal servicing. I'd recommend getting a service plan as it's a bit pricey paying for it in one go.

Great looking car. My old man had the same engine in a 400SL and it was fantastic. Made a wonderful noise and went very well. Enjoy...

Looks good - interested to hear how it goes as I've been half looking at estate versions

Car looks great - considered one of these buy ultimately ended up with a GLC43 instead.

It would be interesting to see if you experience the crabbing issues these sometimes suffer with. My GLC in particular on cold wet mornings can skip quite badly if quite a lot of steering lock is applied.

Interesting.

What did you replace it with?

I'll likely run it a couple of years. Where you saw bland i'm currently seeing competent and capable. Add to that a decent big petrol lump up front and lots of spec, its definitely ticking the boxes i expected.

But, time will tell.

Agreed. An S4 or an M340i was also on my radar if i was to go down the petrol saloon car route (which i did!). It was down to what car came up when and at what price. The deal on this was very compelling.

Yes, agreed RE: the screen. Its the same as my wifes was in her A45 9 years back in 2016. Looks very dated now. But hey how, we are where we are.

Yes, loving the pan roof. Definitely lifts the interior.

Whats the service interval on these?

Its just had a "full service" by the main dealer. I only do about 5K per year.

Thanks. I'll put some updates in as i go along.

I spend £,£££s on my M2 changing the wheels, interior trim, exterior trims, etc but i'm hoping i have the good sense to leave this one as is. I like the relative subtlety of it.

Seems to be tyre related - brand and replacing the runflats with non runflats seem to resolve it on the C43 at least.

If i experience it and it irks me enough i may have to do at this guy did and move to MPS4 tyres...

https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-amg/775996-cra...

On the plus side, its running 18s, not the oddball tyre sized 19s my M2 had, so shouldnt be too costly. (around £1100 for a full set on the M2 of MPS4S).

I've never hit the mileage limit, always the time. It's yearly and I guess around 15k miles? Maybe someone else could chime in?

Also, it's a good idea to download the Mercedes me app. You can view the cars location, fuel level, door locked status, windows open or closed status, service info, notifications of future services and tyre pressures.

Yeah its going to be yearly then for me too.

I've just had a look at the service plan calculator so £66 a month for a 2 year plan.

I might take your advice and do that to be honest.

I'll get the app downloaded and set up smile

I thought the C43 was newer than 2019?

Mine is a 67 plate, January 2017. There was a refresh around 2019 when it got more power IIRC.

I get bored easily.

RS7. Also competent and capable and always fancied one for no good reason.
