Always liked the look of the Rover 75. Tony a friend I volunteer with at Cardiff Transport Preservation Group mentioned that a friend of his was thinking of getting rid of his Rover 75 Tourer that he had owned for 18 years. Tony himself owns three 75's and had no room for another.
Had a look at it and a deal was struck for £400.
Drives very well indeed -155,000 miles-2.0 diesel auto.
It's a Connoisseur SE so has heated leather seats.
It had done very little mileage over the last few years and had 4 weeks MOT left. Needed a couple of handbrake cables for the MOT and the MOT guy said it was in very good condition.
I've done the Renault 5 thermostat mod as the original was kaput and painted all the rear suspension and pumped the suspension arms and sills full of anti corrosion wax.
It seems that Alan the previous owner had any advisories that the MOT picked up fixed. Leather has been cleaned since photos taken.
Here's a few photos.

Thanks all,
The auto wiper sensor has fallen off the screen so will look at that. Air con not working-might take it to local garage to see whats leaking. Needs new tyres-plenty of tread but a bit of cracking due to age. Goes quite well-not the best MPG-I've done 300 miles and its averaging 30mpg (according to the trip)-lots of local journeys. First diesel I've had.
It's got a "Ron box" fitted which ups the bhp.
Will report on progress.
Also got these to run around in.

Looks like its seen some action.
It’s hiding it’s miles and age quite well.Bodywork is in very good condition apart from a bit of lacquer fade on the bonnet. Underneath is very, very good.
Interior has cleaned up very well since the photo, plenty of leather feed as well. Steering wheel needs recolouring or I’ll find a semi wood effect one.

The sensor is attached to a plastic lens which is what should be stuck to the screen. You'll need a new lens, or clear gel pad if you can get one. You can see a clear patch whee it should be which conforms the lens is missing (probably still on the sensor). The auto wiper sensor has fallen off the screen so will look at that.
Let me know if you can't find one. I bought one in for a job which didn't happen and it's since been sat in my drawer.

I would expect that to be doing nearer 40mpg for your use there..
Cool cars though, my old man worked for Rover when they were new, so have plenty of seat time in them.

On a run it seems to do over 40-but most of the miles at the moment are localish-I did read that the auto knocks quite a bit off the mpg with the diesel. Still its still 10mpg locally more than V6 Omegas I had years ago.
