Lower and fatter - 997 C4S
Discussion
Evening all
Owned my 200ul6 C4S for 2 years now and kept.it absolutely standard until now.
Suffered a broken coil spring whilst sat on the drive which gave me the opportunity to fit uprated and slightly lower H+R springs. At the same time i decided to also fit some hubcentric 15mm spacers
A quick before shot:

And now after:

I.love the new look amd the handling is not compromised at all. I did all the work myself on the driveway and had no hitches......oh except ruining a PASM shock on the rear by cutting the wore as the shock was lowered out of the inner mounting! Bugger!!

I have to say I love the lower look and stance, very purposeful. How much lower is it and have you scraped anywhere, driveway, speed bumps etc?
I have a stock 981 cayman S and have been thinking about a subtle drop, but don’t want to drop much and start having issues as right now the clearance is great?

Love the 997 at the moment.
Not sure I've ever seen a 4S without the solid red strip between the rear lights. Maybe my Pork knowledge is lacking?
Aren't you thinking of the 997 Gen2? Dont think Gen1 has it.Not sure I've ever seen a 4S without the solid red strip between the rear lights. Maybe my Pork knowledge is lacking?
I had thought they carried it over the from 996 4S.
Looks great OP. I have to admit for me sport springs and spacers for better stance just looks better in my eyes and have done this on most of my cars. Factory ride height is so high and the wheels too tucked up into those arches.
How are you finding the H&R springs? I have them on my S1 and the ride pretty is hard, but very little body roll..

No scraping as yet!! Although my plan for a front splitter is not going to happen now!!I have a stock 981 cayman S and have been thinking about a subtle drop, but don’t want to drop much and start having issues as right now the clearance is great?

So far so good! A little bit firmer but not really noticeable. I also have PASM which is electronically controllable shocks - I very rarely use it because it becomes SO stiff that your teeth chatter!!!How are you finding the H&R springs?
