2013 Q5 3.0tdi dog chariot.
Discussion
How did I arrive at and audi Q5, well I asked for guidance on here about a reliable, sturdy car for around £10k. Loads of great advice and guidance (thanks). At no point did anyone suggest or recommend one of these, so naturally I gravitated towards them
So the hunt began, wanted the 3.0tdi but was looking at 2.0tdi also. Couple of weeks passed and a nice looking one popped up, 4hours away in Bristol!
It was grey 3.0tdi, decent service history, mostly audi, good mot records (rare for these) and a clear hpi.
So deposit down and off I set.
3 trains and a taxi got me to Bristol where the seller was waiting at the station.
First thoughts where it looks good and as described, phew!
5 minute test drive confirmed it drove nicely and had no knocks bangs squeaks or obvious faults. So happy days!
5 hour drive home via m4-bracknel-m3-m25-m26-m20 so perfect journey for the car, most comfortable motorway car I've ever driven, decent performance and better than expected mpg (bonus).
Back home safe, the wife really likes it which is important as she is the main driver. It's a real clean car with some nice options!
Turns out it's quite a high spec car with front and rear heated seats, B and O sound, 20inch wheels, factory running boards, black pack, tech pack all a nice bonus I didn't expect!
I have 2 new front tyres going on it tomorrow and then should be set for a few months! Fingers crossed!
I will keep this updated with info and maintenance carried out. I am sure not many will be interested but I am always interested in these expensive rrp vehicles 10 years on when they have shed 75% of theor value.

As has been said its factory and looks better in the flesh than in that photo.
I have gone and look on AT at some and looks like it could be the correct grille but something is making it look odd, and I think its the back Audi badge (which isnt original).Because the badge is black it gives the optical illusion that the numberplate is too low

It is the correct grille 100%, it is a glass black grille. Because the badge is black it gives the optical illusion that the numberplate is too low
Looks fine in person, the black badge matches the rest of the black pack. I may change it to an original one but it really doesn't matter to me! I just assumed it was standard as the rear one is also black and the model badges have been removed from the factory. It strikes me as a car that has not been messed about with.

Good to hear! It has had a gearbox oil change in May but I will look into this and see what should be carried out.
I think that's it, oil and filter. If you have Advanced Key (start/stop button and pulling handles to unlock and open with out remote button press) make sure these all work too, usually door handle sensors which can be bought cheap enough and guides on YouTube on replacing.

Nice looking car, how many miles are on it?
It's probably too early to say but what sort of mpg is it doing?
100,000 miles, mpg varies massively on a run mid to high 40's around town and in traffic 30ishIt's probably too early to say but what sort of mpg is it doing?
Just had the roof rails wrapped as the bla k was starting to mottle and look a bit shabby. Think it looks smart and they have done a good job.
Next on the list is to sort out the parking sensors, they have corroded so will take it to my mechanic who is good with the electrical side of things, 2 of them have gone like this.
Apart from that all going well.

So parking sensors have been resolved, just needed re-setting, perfect.
Had new discs and pads put on the front and asked my local Audi specialist to plug it in, showed a fault on one glow plug had all 4 replaced.
Really liking the car so far over 2000 miles covered (mostly by the wife)
