This is now old enough to be a yesterday hero? Either way I love the old girl….pulled her out of the garage for bath and shift a few spiders. Think I need to go buy a new cam belt and get her back on the road!

The wife had one when we got married (19 years ago!) I loved it!

I really like these, but they’re a rare sight on the roads these days. I assume that many have succumb to the suspect modifications that so many ensured.

As with the 4 motion Golf. These fell into the hands of those who couldn't really afford to run them properly. Regular Haldex services or 20 cigs a time?.. R32s are the same.

Nice, I had one back in 2009, mine was Audi exclusive Kingfisher Blue, with two tone blue alcantara and black leather interior. It was an early facelift with the AMK engine.

It wasn't particularly fast and was pretty thirsty, but there was just something I really liked about.

I bought one new in 2000, deep metallic blue with black leather. I only kept it for a year though. Nice car but I remember that I found it rather dull at the time and also the front seats were essentially too big for the car and that made it feel quite cramped inside. Until March this year it was the only Audi I've ever owned in a 40 year driving history but in March I bought another S3:

23 years has made quite a difference to the S3. Mainly, it got a lot bigger! This one doesn't feel like a small car. In fact as Mrs G968 and I are used to driving small cars it feels rather large and luxurious! I still wouldn't describe this S3 as exciting but now that I'm well in to my 50s it seems to match my needs much better!

Both of them are very nicely put together cars, I think I just owned the first one too early in my driving career! Looks lovely as a modern classic though and the grey with ally mirrors was a really good choice. I don't think I've seen one that colour, most were either silver, the dark blue like mine and some Nogaro blue ones

A family member had one many moons ago on the 18 inch RS4 wheels and I remember it being quite compact. The front seats were great for front occupants, less so for those in the rear!

I bought one new in 2002, pearlescent purple, light grey leather interior, 18" RS4 style alloys.

Loved that car.
