R55. I really love driving this car, every time I drive it I enjoy it. I love being in it. I’ve had it about a year and a half, I overpaid for it big time cos I liked the seats and apparently have little will power lol. These are the standard 17” wheels, ride height etc. I now can’t decide whether to throw money at it, as it will never make it back if / when I sell it. Ie I’d like to replace the dampers (with standard type, not lowered), and lower arms / bushes etc just to keep it all good. I’ve already done brakes, thermostat, wheel refurb, regular service items etc as I go along.

What holds me back is I occasionally think could I get into a E92 M3 (but realistically I can’t afford it). But then I think maybe I could for a while, and flog it a year or 2 later, just to have fun with rear wheel drive and that engine before everything is legislated off the road and I become too old. But I don’t know if I should lose this car, or commit to it for life! But the worst thing would be to do loads of mechanical jobs then sell it anyway.

Option seats

Third door, which I find fun (seats out in this pic as I was cleaning them)

Did the thermostat. Engine bay shot but not a lot to see

Great cars the R55, suprisingly the car I most regret selling. I kept mine standard other then upgraded shocks, lowering springs and some speedline wheels.
Very competent, other than the hpfp, it never put a foot wrong.

Just enjoy it, try and ignore the price you paid, it's not going to depreciate.
