I honestly have no idea how I allowed this to happen. I promise.

Well, that’s not strictly true. I bought this Bavarian tourer for a very healthy price if you look at the current examples on the market.

Sitting pretty(ish) on 154,XXX miles. It will need some things done to it but that’s to be expected. Brakes required, a slight knock at the front but other than that, golden.
It’s running on Michelin PS4 which makes me think it’s not been run on a budget.

Now I have WAY too many cars.

I do have a real soft spot for the E9x 330d having covered over a 150k miles in an E90 330d. They are cracking all round cars I reckon(especially the touring).

Enjoy it and I hope it treats you well. thumbup

I like that; a proper mile muncher biggrin

I'd get all the front end arms/links/bushes replaced TBH and new brakes all round (ATE discs and Ceramic pads would be my choice and others will agree); source them via Autodoc wink

Will be following this thumbup

Following.

We're looking to replace a lease car soon and one of those at a what I imagine is a broadly similar budget is on the list.

Looks good. If you want a front brake upgrade I have a full 335d set of front brakes on eBay. (Gun metal grey).

Looks grand that - the E91 is my favourite shape of this era 3 series.

The ATE ceramic pads are really worth the small extra outlay to reduce brake dust.

Cheers!

ATE Pads definitely sound like they are worth the £££

Took the car on its first voyage last week.

Myself and some mates were off to Berlin flying out of Edinburgh, went a few days early ti see some uni mates and generally just enjoy time away from work.

Managed to gauge a few issues with the car, as well as a good general feel for it.

Dual carriageway cruise down to Edinburgh was boring; but boring is good. The car was ace on fuel. The brakes have become noisy so will order some new discs and pads as recommended this week.

I think the suspension arms needs looking at as it likes a knock every now and then over harsh bumps.

I think I also have a very slight oil leak from the Left hand side (drivers side) of the engine. No idea what it is yet but will investigate.

One of the angel eyes (passenger side) went out on my adventures so I’ll just replace both sides.

Other things I want to do;
New start/stop button
Retrim steering wheel
Refurb wheels
Service
Android unit (probably not immediately though).

I also really like the 216M alloys. I know if a set for sake but can’t figure out if they’d suit the car or not.

Here’s some pics from the trip…

Ps Berlin is incredible if you still feel like a student deep down… like me. We didn’t go for the car scene but the cars there are epic. Loads of old Mercs, Porsches and VW’s chopping about you’d just never see here.

If you do happen to go, visit Classic-Remise Berlin. An old warehouse with various classic car businesses operating out if it, both dealers and workshops.

Sounds like a good shakedown smile

The suspension could simply be droplinks, that'll be a nice, easy & cheap fix thumbup

Agree re the wheels; they suit the car well. Would look spot on in OEM BMW silver or ferric grey maybe wink

Looks grand; they’re MV3 wheels or style 193M. The 216’s are the wheels from special edition s like the 320si (nerd mode off laugh ).

I’m looking forward to hopefully picking our E91 up this weekend.

I think he meant he knows of a set of 216’s for sale smile

Car looks good OP. Been using mine a lot more recently. Really enjoy it. Still waiting to get it remapped though. Not had a day off this year so far.

I’ll get back in my box….my fault for skim reading in a teams call.

216’s suit the E91 nicely; the one that I’m due to pick up soon has them on it and I think it looks good. I am however in the minority in liking the MV3’s.

Good catch! Probably my bad grammar there; I have seen the 216M’s for sale, I aspire to be a BLW wheel nerd too by end of ownership here haha!

I’m also in that minority of liking the MV3’s.

Ironic that I am also currently skimming whilst in a teams call, which I definitely don’t need to be in

If it’s just drop links I am a lucky boy. Will try and get a look tonight though as I hadn’t even thought it could just be those, my mind was in BMW mode and automatically chose the most expensive assumption

The joys of working life post Covid! biglaugh

Lots whinge about the MV3’s being made of cheese but the ones I had on my E90 were fine. Although the ones on the E91 I’m buying were buckled / cracked hence the 216’s. The other advantage of the 216’s is a slightly more aggressive offset so they look less lost in the rear arches.

Aye; same...

Fingers crossed!

If it is one of the suspension arms; you'll soon get the likes of Lemforder, Meyle HD, Moog, TRW via Autodoc or Moog via your local motorfactors and have it replaced, both sides biggrin

I mainly used Moog and Lemforder via Autodoc, eBay UK and my local motorfactors with my Japanese import E39s and previous F01 7 series; zero issues and would highly recommend. Great warranty too!

Gorgeous alloys; just make sure they're genuine:
