Hand in your PH card at the door. smile The 3500 badge is a big clue; it's a very rare Rover P6 estate / shooting brake. Only development models were made I believe.

Dayum, that’s ugly!

Even in mint condition, it’d still be a horror to look at.

I like it!

Actually FLM panelcraft HR Owen and Crayford did the conversions with Rovers blessing.

Its a Rover P6 Estoura. About 160 were made, around 10 on the road.

Its my 4th P6.

I can defend the colour.

I remember when there were lots of Rovers this colour on the road. It is one Rover colour that never looked dirty.

That's not a colour I'd choose new but it looks perfectly-suited to that.

A long while ago, there is another row of containers on top of that row now.

I remember the Rover being here, the lad that has them has a lot of spares in storage with us too.

ETA: Its more of a tone than a colour.

A chap in the village I grew up in had one, exactly the same colour. I loved it then and still do now!

He also had a Yellow 2200TC and a prototype SD1 full of pre drilled holes for aerodynamics testing.

I believe he’s still got the 2200TC, but late into his octogenarian phase he’s given up the rest. Now he has one of those MG 3’s (?) as a daily and spends the rest of his time flying his Piper Cub!

Not sure I’ll be doing that in 30 years time!!

Good old ‘Tobacco Leaf’, my favourite P6 colour!

Estimates vary as to how many Estouras were done, some say 160, some say over 200, I wonder if we’ll ever know for sure.

I used to have a brown P6 but it was a long time ago and I remember mine as darker than that.

I do recall, however, that the log book described it as “Burnt Biscuit Umber”.

Whatever. It was brown…

TBF, there’s a strong chance that when new, the owner would have had a suit of a similar shade and would have been camouflaged next to the car.

It’s “baby poop”, isn’t it?

My first 3500 P6 was also in Tobacco Leaf. A colour "of it's time" biggrin

Second one was a dark green, possibly metallic? Made a few bob on both of them back in the day.
