Thought I'd make a thread finally, given that I've had the car for 18 months now. The photo above was taken at the dealer when I got it. It was something of an impulse buy.
I had a Mk8 Fiesta ST which I'd got to a sort of goldilocks state just how I liked it, about 250hp, Eibachs and a Milltek exhaust to liven it up. However, a promotion meant I now had the option of a £5k car allowance if I used my own car for work, which I couldn't really turn down and given the used car market at the time the change came at minimal cost. It didn't have many options but it did have one ticked that was very rare on estate Rs, the adaptive dampers

Immediately put to work!

I told myself I wouldn't modify it, but I quickly found that the performance of the car was disappointing. Great traction and the 4wd meant that first and second were actually usable unlike in the Fiesta, but in a 3rd gear pull I would have said my ST was the faster car.

So after a couple of months it was down to MG Autos in Ripley for a Revo Stage 1. I've not had it dyno'd because I don't care, but the performance uplift across the rev range from the remap is huge. I know it's a cliche with car modding but the car really should have come like this from the factory.

I've just had it in for its 60k service as well as a set of PS5s and a PCV leak, so the car currently feels like new and it's put to bed any major thoughts on selling up! I am 50/50 on going for more power, as I think the main priority would be handling mods.

Be prepared for the adaptive dampers to leak! Ask me how I know!

Nice car that, Lapiz blue is a treat but i always thought the standard R alloys were horrible, the Pretorias were much nicer! I probably would've bought an estate if they had been around when I ordered my GTD.

yes Pretorias are one of the best-looking OEM wheels from the past few years IMO, and VW did a cracking job of tempting buyers to upsell with making the standard wheels what they were.

Great car.

Although the Pretorias are really nice, the standard wheels look much better in the flesh than they do in pics - so long as they are in good shape.

What is the Revo stage 1 meant to give you, bhp wise?

The Cadizes are pretty naff, but I'm using it for work so I'm keeping wheels I'm not too fussed about if they get scuffed.

Edit for above-supposed to be up to 370 on V-Power, but most people who've had theirs dyno'd get 360ish. The improvement is mostly in the midrange and how it picks up though, in 2nd and 3rd it feels ballistic. Tails off quite a bit at higher speed but that's the limitations of the stock turbo
