My old E-Class coupe. Now clocked and in Malaysia
Discussion
In June 2020 I took delivery of a brand new E-Class coupe. Lovely car and it was on a really cheap lease deal.
I returned it to Lex Autolease at the end of July 22 with 30926 miles on the clock.
For a few weeks after it went back, i tried to find it for sale, looking on here and on autotrader, curious to know how much it would go for, but I couldn’t see it for sale anywhere. I found that I was still connected to the car through the Mercedes Me app, which showed it in a compound near Watford.
Then I forgot about it until December when I got a notification from the car that its battery was critically low. Still connected to the app, still in the compound near Watford, which is thought was a strange thing to do with a depreciating asset with an ever reducing warranty period remaining.

Last night I was talking to a friend who is considering getting a similar E-Class coupe, and it reminded me that I’d still got the Mercedes Me app. To my surprise I was still linked to the car. But it was no longer in Watford, now it’s on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
And it’s, been clocked, the mileage has halved.
A little Googling found it at a Malaysian car dealer, matching its location.

Presume it ended up being sold at auction and exported. Wonder at which end it was clocked?

Up for a lot because mayalsia has ridiculous car import taxes...
