Hello! I thought I would move my current build thread over to this section, I spend most of my time on the site in this section looking at other build threads so I thought I would move over.

I bought the Caterham 420R pretty much exactly a year ago. I use the car for road and track days.

I have carried out a few tweaks and modifications myself, i will link to the old build thread bellow which covers the last year up till now, but going forward I will use this thread primarily.

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Most recent pictures are bellow, from the cars little shake down at the weekend. It has spent the last month on axle stands while I carried out some winter servicing, changing the radiator, coolant flush, engine oil and filter, spark plugs, gearbox oil and diff oil, feels fantastic! I’m looking forward to the first track day if the year at the start of feb at Bedford!

I know pistonheads liked a garage shot, so here it is back in “the shed”. Ready to have the last of the winter jobs carried out next week.

I miss my se7ens. Sure the driving is bonkers (you need to get rid of those doors and screen wink ), but your pictures also remind me of the other side, the tinkering, the garage time and the money spent!. Happy memories.

You car looks lovely, great colour.

Ah thanks! Yes the tinkering and upgrades for me are almost as fun as the driving! And the windows and screen has only just gone back on, Aeroscreen will be going back on in spring! smile

Superb! I will have to own one some day, being taken out in one when I was a kid is largely what got me into cars.

Thanks, yes it’s not a common one, I used to walk past a mint green 964 on my way to school everyday, and it’s been my favourite colour since, so when this one popped up I had to have it!

Having had the windscreen taken out by flying debris at Bedford I’d get the full screen back on!!
Either way, fantastic colour, amazing car and great to see someone doing some proper maintenance themselves, fantastic stuff.

May see you on track @ Bedford in Feb.

What agreat looking thing. A friend built a Caterham a couple of years ago and it's an itch I've always wanted to scratch. Being an MX5 fan, the open top driving is something that never gets tired.
