Hello

My name is Marcel and I come from Slovenia, that's right, homeland of former first lady.

Decided to start a new topic since this seems like one of few remaining active forums today. Being 90's kid, I miss car forums or any kind of forum too much. Social networks are ok, but forum has its charm, where you can find load of info. Also what's better than scrolling through topics of readers cars biggrin

So this will be sort of a mix of my cars ownership and some little stuff done to them. Just a nice time lapse of not very interesting cars, so I warn you now, this will be written on a couple of pages up until today and further down the road.

It was year I don't know, I'm 25 now, passed my test at 18.

Well, let's back up a little. I was always a petrolhead, since the day I remember. To this day sometimes I just wanna stand by the road and watch all the cars pass by. It's kind of a very strange form of relaxation for me...

...and when I was 12 I got myself first motor powered vehicle. Mini cruiser/chopper. Don't have pics of that. Then traded it for a brand new Chinese ATV with manual stick transmission lol. Don't have pics of that either. Then I was 15 and got myself a scooter.
White and blue Piaggio NRG. To this day I still think it's the best looking scooter. Remember guys, when there was huge scooter tuning scene, not todays electric scooter. Aw...miss those times.

Had that for a year and at 16 in my country you are allowed to pass test for 125ccm bike. Naturally got hooked up. Passed it and bought myself first more serious motor vehicle. I never had much money so I was looking at the bottom price range. At the time you were cool if you had Yamaha YZF125R or later KTM Duke 125. But those were waaaay out of my price range. The only thing I could afford was in the range of old Aprilia RS125 which I seriously considered. Back then even Cagiva Mito 125 wasn't too pricey around 2k€, which was still 1k above my price range but if you look prices today..khm... Ok, so I went to look my first choice. Aprilia RS125. Bike didn't even start when I got there. Slightly dissapointed I called my second option. Hyosung GT125. Had a quick read before about that bikes and discovered that they are Korean made with lots of parts borrowed from Suzuki. So I said OK, let's take a look a that thing. When I first came to the seller and saw the bike, I fell in love. I mean, out of all the bikes 125ccm range offered, this one was trully only one looking more like a reall 600ccm bike than some 125ccm. The widest rear tire of them all, frame the same as on Suzuki GS500 and overall amazing looking naked. V-twin engine was cherry on the top. The sound it made was epic for a little 125ccm. If you write on YT Hyosung GT125 exhaust sound, there is my recorded clip, should be on top 3.
Anyway, Honda CBR125 was not that much pricey than Hyosung, but the way it looked, narrow, skinny ass tires, awful for my taste. And at that day I bought myself Hyosung. A brand almost no one have heard of. So underrated but so good.

I will leave you here for today with some pics of my Hyosung GT125. To be continued.

Also if you look first picture of my Hyosung and secnod one, you see different sized headlamps. First one is original, but for my taste it was kinda too small, so I bough bigger one from GT250 model.
