Another UK registered S660
Discussion
After some consideration last year, I decided to go for it, and after a painfully long wait, recently took delivery of my lovely new Honda S660.
With the help of Torque GT, I've got myself a red alpha, with around 39,000 km on the clock.
Very grateful to have received it just as non-essential travel has been allowed again, as it's so much fun!
It is not a fast car, but I don't mind that at all, as just doing 20-40mph is so enjoyable! I was particularly surprised at how 'sports car' it felt. All other traffic looks absolutely massive, but I quickly got used to that. I just don't understand why more people don't want tiny cars!

So much want!!!
Just for the record, and the removal of any doubt. I really hate you!
N.B. Extreme jealousy may have been a large motivating factor in the above

That’s a wicked little (and I had no idea how little!) thing!
More pictures please.
What’s it like to drive?
It's been a few too many years since I drove an S2000, but I'm inclined to say it feels a bit like that, just obviously MUCH slower. The gearshift is very close and fast, the tiny little turbo picks up quite nicely from low revs, and the steering is surprisingly weighty.More pictures please.

It's not too bumpy or crashy, but I wouldn't want to be in it for many hours at a time. It's not exactly a GT motorway cruiser. There's also quite a lot of noise with the roof off, and a small bit of noise with the roof on.
But for blasting (slowly) around real roads within speed limits, I've not driven anything like it! It's a bit of a surprise as I imagined it to have the same kind of dead/light feeling controls that modern city cars have, so I'm really pleased with it!
And as for its hilariously tiny size, it makes me smile every time I see it.
As for pictures, I've made an instagram account for it that I'm probably not allowed to link to, but you can find it by looking for the car's model name, followed by a dot, followed by its colour. My plan is to build up a gallery of it next to other things for size comparison, as when I was considering buying it, I couldn't quite get my head around how small it was.

What's the headroom like with the roof on (and how tall are you)? - I'd love one to complement my NSX. I tried to get in an S2000 at the Motor show in 1999/2000 but didn't fit.
I'm not massive, something like 5'9", and quite skinny, and I fit fine. I've not yet had any tall people in the car but I reckon 6' might be the limit. Also the seats are quite narrow and a little bolstered, so shoulder width is also a thing to be aware of.StevenRugg said:

Absolutely fantastic! I keep checking the Torque GT website on the hope of spotting one of these as I have zero idea how much it would actually cost to get one here, would you mind giving me a rough idea? With the help of Torque GT, I've got myself a red alpha, with around 39,000 km on the clock.

I think the idea of having something so small and yet involving at normal speeds with decent running costs. There is also the worry that I wouldn't fit, I was fine in my S2000, my frame is narrow and about six foot.

When I first spoke to Torque GT about it, they indicated prices from about £15k (that's all in, to get it registered here and in my hands). I wasn't fussed about age, and not too fussed on mileage. I was however fussy about colour (red or yellow), trim level (alpha), and wanted one as close to stock as possible.I think the idea of having something so small and yet involving at normal speeds with decent running costs. Anyway, in the end this one came in under £17k. I don't know the exact breakdown, but of course the vehicle is only one part, as there's also shipping, import taxes, modifications to be legal here, IVA, MOT, and probably more I've forgotten. But regardless; the figure you care about, depending on your preferences, should be under £20k.
Of course I have absolutely no clue about future resale value, but that seemed impossible to predict so I decided to not think about it too much.
As I said above, fortunately I'm not too tall or big so fit fine, but it really is tiny so I would be cautious. 6 foot tall and narrow might just be ok, but I couldn't promise anything. Maybe I can update this thread once I've had more passenger in the car with me!

Didn't even know these existed - really interesting, more pics + details please!
I never imagined this much interest! I'm thinking of moving to a thread in "Readers' Cars" for wider reach.I don't know what extra details you want. The main fun stuff is all above, but if you have specific questions I'll gladly answer! I've got a couple more pictures for you though. I think the back end is quite cool, showing off the three back windows (and the middle one opens!).
