I meant to do this in the summer when I bought it but forgot, it’s a 2000 NB, minor mods include a TRLane roll bar, Cobra Clubman seats, 330mm OMP wheel, K&N panel filter and some posh ignition leads. The reason for doing this now is to record thoughts on the new Yokohama AD08RS tyres I’ve just fitted as they are fairly new on the scene replacing the AD08R tyres which were very well regarded.
The RS, according to the info I’ve found, appear to be a slightly lower spec compound to comply with EU regulations so we will see how they fare. Mixed user reviews so far but they aren’t manner to go on. They were on offer at Kwik Fit which influenced my decision, previously I was looking at NS2Rs or 595s, but ultimately went with these. I’ve got a track day in May at Castle Combe so that will be their first real test but initial impressions are good. Unsurprisingly turn in felt noticeably better on this mornings drive compared to the old P6000s that were on it previously. They are surprisingly quiet and look good on the 15” TSWs!
