It sure seemed a tough decision. How to replace my 2010 from new Skoda Yeti 4x4. The Tonka toy. The family wagon which fulfilled all purposes. UlEZ fast approaching and a Diesel surcharge every time I parked moved the replacement forwards rapidly. The fact that this 4.2 Litre Supercharged 4x4 is still ULEZ compatible really spurred me on. The fact that all the new SUV’s are now no more than very slightly higher estate cars also helped. Had a Vogue in the late 80’s. Loved the driving position, loved the V8, the space etc. Grabbed it while we can still have some old fashioned fun.

I will keep this thread going to see how the 12 year old like new LR fares.

The car feels and looks spanking newsmile

What’s the story with the low mileage then?

That's a leap of faith going from a Yeti to that! Your petrol station will be pleased laugh
So where has it been for the last 11 years? And are the tyres 2009?

Quite a find - probably the lowest mileage one in the country. I had a the same model for a while and really enjoyed owning it; the 4.2 engine is very reliable and goes pretty well too. I’d probably keep an eye on the air suspension struts and compressor as the rubber may have gone hard through lack of use. Luckily, they’re not that expensive to fix anymore, and the rest of the car is pretty solid despite what some people say.

Subscribed, still considering the 5.0 version as next dog lugger but think I've been put off.

Good god, you're brave.

I wish you the very best of luck.

My one tip would be, always make sure you have £2k per year to spend on just maintenance. Why do you ask? Experience

Just got rid of my 22 years owned E36 because of the ULEZ. A sad day.

Joke is that I should have kept my 2016 Mustang GT 5.0 V8. That WAS ULEZ compliant.

Good luck with yours, nice.

Finally it has sold!! That has been for sale for EVER much like a lot of their stock. I remember looking at that on their site and it was very clean inside.

Good luck with it but I don't believe it will fare well after standing for years, a brand new one is bad enough but I hope it works out for you. Good to see it being used.

Heck of a low mileage.

I have an RRS of a similar vintage albeit a couple of years young and a heck of a lot more miles. As above, keep a kitty for repairs. Honest opinion? I hate and love it in equal measure. I always think I am about to get rid, and then just drive it a bit without any warning lights and I remember why I don't really want to.

Enjoy it. I would love to know the story behind the mileage though!

Where does it say low mileage?

I read the title as he plans to do 2700 miles this weekend, not that it has only covered that many in 11 years.

Suspect the thread title's a bit st. Unlikely to be doing 2,700 miles around Britain in a weekend, especially at the moment. Barnard Castle, anyone? wink

Just shows how ridiculous the ULEZ is. My C250CDI isn’t compliant, my RS3 is.

To be fair equally as unlikely to have found an 11 year old Range Rover sport with just 2700 miles on it unless it’s clocked.

I’m intrigued which it is now though haha

Due to be exported although the car is RHD, wasn’t registered till 2919.
Wasn’t kept in a damp proof environment so some surface rust underneath, I will treat that and then waxoyl.
I had AA check the car over. All good
